Best Songs About Not Caring What Others Think Or Say

Attention!!!

We all judge others and are judged in return. While most of us can take the criticism and the convoluted rumours and stories, some of us find it difficult to cope with public opinion, peer pressure, and blatant judgment. It's all about the reputation and image. What others think and say of us sometimes has a greater impact than we might ever comprehend. So what better way to deal with this than music. Several feel good and inspirational songs deal with this particular issue. David Guetta's Titanium backed by Sia's powerful vocals takes the crown followed by Taylor Swift's crossover smash hit Shake It Off which took the world by storm for its straightforward theme of merely shaking off what others think or say. Simply no one has double entries and its an entire mishmash of genres ranging from Pop and Hip-Hop to EDM and Rap. So here are the Top 25 of the Best Songs About Not Caring What Others Think or Say:

Most Inspirational Songs of 2014

Attention!!!

When I compiled the list for inspirational songs for 2013, I believed that it was just a coincidence that there were so many inspirational songs during that year. However, now I believe that it is a trend for artists to come up with at least one motivational song in their albums. Although there were not so many inspirational songs during 2014 there were enough to compile a list. I think the reason for artists to come up with so many inspirational songs is due to the fact that there is a popular demand for such songs. During this hectic era, the younger generation can be heavily burdened with work, life and love and so to cater to the market wants and needs, artists come up with these songs. The songs are sometimes purely inspirational while others deal with motivation to handle breakups. The genres vary from Rap, Hip-Hop and Pop to Rock, EDM and Country. Eminem ft. Sia's Guts Over Fear featured in the film The Equalizer takes the crown with Taylor Swift's global smash hit Shake It Off at second followed by the X-Factor winner Ben Haenow's winning single Something I Need at third. Sia and Fall Out Boy are the only artists with two entries with the latter having both entries within the top 10. So here are the 25 most inspirational songs of 2014:
  1. Eminem ft. Sia – Guts over fear
  2. Taylor Swift – Shake it off
  3. Ben Haenow – Something I need (Original by OneRepublic)
  4. Idina Menzel – Let it go
  5. Fall Out Boy – Immortals
  6. The Script – Superheroes
  7. Ella Henderson – Glow

  10. Fall Out Boy – Centuries
  11. Sia – Chandelier
  12. Colbie Caillat – Try
  13. Nico & Vinz – Am I wrong
  14. Avicii – The days
  15. Foxes – Let go for tonight

Xposition - September 2014

Attention!!!

Well September was a relatively quiet month in terms of happenings in the music scene. Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX's Fancy was crowned Song of the Summer by Billboard after the song topped the weekly chart from start to finish. Fancy is the first song to achieve this feat since Katy Perry ft. Snoop Dogg's California Gurls topped the chart from start to finish in 2010.

The UK has released a list of the Top 40 Biggest Selling Singles So Far as of 30th September 2014. Leading the list is Pharrell Williams' Happy followed by Clean Bandit ft. Jess Glynne's Rather Be and John Legend's All of Me. Mr. Probz's Waves is at 4 with Pitbull ft. Kesha's Timber and Ella Henderson's Ghost at 5 and 6 respectively. There may be changes at the end of the year but for now these are the top guns to claim the biggest selling single of UK for 2014.

There were movements in the charts in the US since the VMAs at the end of August would see sales in certain songs. It was none other than Taylor Swift's Shake It Off which blasted through to the top on the first week of September moving Magic!'s Rude out of place. Her single which was performed at the VMAs is also her entry to the mainstream pop scene. The single stayed there for two weeks and was dethroned by Meghan Trainor's debut hit All About That Bass. With a catchy beat, controversial lyrics and a flamboyant video the song was struggling to peak in its first few weeks behind Rude. However, finally the song peaked in the third week and remained at the top spot in the final week of September. With Nicki Minaj's brilliant performance of Anaconda on the VMA stage, the single peaked at No.2 during the month and this was the only movement within the top 10.

In the UK Lily Wood and the Prick and Robin Schulz's Prayer in C was number one for the first two weeks of the month. Then Calvin Harris ft. John Newman's Blame was number one for one week before being dethroned by Sigma ft. Paloma Faith's Changing in the final week. Other singles which became popular during the month were:
  • Echosmith - Cool kids
  • Chris Brown ft. Usher & Rick Ross - New flame
  • Jeremih ft. YG - Don't tell 'em
  • Tove Lo - Habits (stay high)
  • Sam Smith - I'm not the only one
  • The Script - Superheroes
  • 5 Seconds of Summer - Amnesia
  • Professor Green ft. Tori Kelly - Lullaby
