Today we have a very different type of list. Indie is not a specific genre of music but is Independent Music which is music produced independently from major commercial record labels or their subsidiaries. With indie rock, indie pop and indietronica has once again entering mainstream music, it is important to learn of the best of the modern indie music which has received critical and commercial success as well as the accolades these artistes and bands have achieved despite not being attached to a major record label at first. Although I am not such a fan of indie music, I cannot deny the talent of some of these artiste/bands such as Christina Perri and Imagine Dragons with awesome hits such as Jar of hearts and Radioactive.
