Most Haunting Songs of All Time

Attention!!!

Most of us are used to listening to chirpy songs, probably because music is meant to cheer us up and put us in a good mood. But there are really sad songs which make us very gloomy but then there are those songs which are so haunting and creepy that our blood runs cold. The spooky music, coupled by the eerie voices of the likes of Amy Lee of Evanescence, Sarah Brightman, Lana Del Rey and Jack Black can send shivers through our spines. These songs are perfect for those dark moments in life where we need liberation from the nightmares that haunt us. Of course do not expect death metal or any sort of satanic music on this list for I do not believe in the worship of Lucifer like Marilyn Manson or Korn. And I have included Michael Jackson's Thriller as the last song, not because it is oh-so terrifying, but as a tribute to the icon who many believe has produced the most popular horror music video to date.   So these are the most haunting songs of all time:

In the Billboard Hot 100 Eminem's Monster ft. Rihanna managed to stay in first place for the first two weeks before Pitbull's Timber ft. Ke$ha swept in claim the crown and remained there for the final two weeks. The only contender which may replace Pitbull would be Katy Perry with her Dark Horse who has been steadily climbing up the charts and her performance may aid her in dethroning Pitbull and Ke$ha. Lorde's Team, Jason Derulo's Talk Dirty and Bastille's Pompeii have all entered the Top 10 in January.

In the UK Timber was the first number one which replace Pharrell Williams' Happy. However, Williams managed to reclaim the crown the next week and held on for two more weeks before Clean Bandit ft. Jess Glynne's Rather Be peaked in the last week. Other good songs released in January are:
  • Shakira ft. Rihanna - Can't Remember to Forget You
  • Enrique Iglesias ft. Pitbull - I'm a Freak
