Gone are the days when Disc Jockeys or DJs were merely props at parties to mix the songs or at recording studios behind closed doors coming out with remixes of popular songs. That era is now over. DJs have stepped up and are now releasing songs on their own mostly collaborating with other artists for vocals and have thus entered the mainstream. Some DJs like Calvin Harris, Krewella, NERVO and Havana Brown even provide vocals for their own music. Since DJing is an art in itself, I am not venturing into judging on who is the best DJ of all time, although I may do it later. For now I have compiled the list on who has been the most successful DJs thus far. Guetta has been able to successfully cater to the EDM fans as well as the mainstream audience. Tiesto is at a close second mostly because he is possibly the highest earning DJ of all time and is considered a legend in the EDM industry for paving the way and being an inspiration for young DJs.
